| The learning climate is apparent throughout the district and student-centered, interactive and engaging. It is evident that teachers and students feel there is a trusted adult with whom they can connect. The amount of student work that is displayed is extensive in all buildings. Routines are apparent and students know what is expected of them in each class observed. | The lack of SEL support at the secondary level leads to a distinct difference between the primary and secondary schools. Hiring the open counseling positions and increasing support for emotional resources for students and families would be helpful in closing the gap. |
| This has evidence to support that it is engaging, and students are working throughout the lessons. Students were able to work through challenges, and 85% were working on tasks regardless of direct instruction or independent learning time. Students are also aware of their learning expectations and are willing to set goals to drive their learning. |
